Tony Cecchine’s American Catch Wrestling: Principles of stand-up wrestling (take downs and shots)
From the 2001 release, Taking it Lightly, former Division II wrestler and college coach Bruce H. Lee discusses some principles important to wrestling on the feet. These principles — keeping good balance, a good stance, and good conditioning while striving to get your opponent off balance, out of his stance, and worn down from carrying your weight — integrate organically with both the ground fighting and striking components of the fighting philosophy Tony teaches. Knowing how, when, and why to change levels — and anticipating how your opponent will move as a result of your own movements — will provide you with those tiny openings you need to score a strike, a take down, or a submission.

@bretlynn That’s the old Tool and Die shop. Back in the day, they’d roll wherever they could, sometimes without a mat.

@jamesallenyz431 Yeah your right he’s gotten really heavy…..he used to be in really good shape on “Enter tha dragon”… He really needs to step up that cardio.
Nice insight on those catch wrestling techniques though, i used some of Tony Cecchine’s catch techniques in my jiu jtsu class and they worked out great .thanks!!
